THE RENEWING CYCLE OF CHANGE
Our lives are continually unfolding, just like the seasons in nature.
In Fall we anticipate loss. The days grow shorter, the leaves change color, and there is crispness in the air. On some level, we know that change is underway.
We move into Winter with ambivalence. Trees have lost their leaves, and like them, we’ve lost our sense of identity. We move inward for reflection and reevaluation, and like the roots of the trees, we grow beneath the surface.
Spring arrives bringing hope and energy. It’s a time of exploration and possibility as new growth surrounds us and is within us. Like the blossoming buds on the trees, our renewed sense of self begins to emerge.
During Summer, we enjoy longer days and the warmth of the sun. We’ve integrated the learning of Winter and the exploration of Spring, and we live in the fullest expression of who we are.
